Between 12:20 UTC and 16:00 UTC ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud, ScriptRunner for Confluence Cloud and Enhanced Search all experienced delays and failures when obtaining authentication tokens for the Atlassian REST APIs.
The impact of this was delays in obtaining up-to-date results for filters powered by the Enhanced Search feature as well as some script failures.
The cause was due to an overwhelming number of requests to a service that we had recently scaled down. To mitigate the problem we scaled up the service and reconfigured its internal networking configuration to support large volumes of traffic.
